Today was the ex-date for Sky Gold’s 9:1 bonus share issue. For the bonus share offering, the corporation had set December 16 as the record date.

Nine new fully paid-up equity shares will be issued for every existing fully paid-up equity share, according to the bonus shares ratio of 9:1.

“We wish to inform you that the Company has fixed Monday, 16th December 2024 as the Record Date to determine the equity shareholders of the Company eligible for bonus equity shares of the Company,” Sky Gold said in a regulatory filing on December 2.

The purpose of the record date is to determine which shareholders are eligible to receive corporate advantages like stock splits, bonus shares, or dividends. Investors are eligible for corporate actions if they have shares in their demat account on or before this record date.

Shareholders must buy the stock at least one day prior to the ex-date in order to be eligible for the advantages because of the T+1 settlement cycle.

In September 2022, a 1:1 ratio announcement was made regarding the Sky Gold bonus share offering.
