Small-cap stock SIS surges 12% after Q3 PAT soars 176.6% YoY

Following a stunning 177% growth in earnings after tax for Q3FY25, the price of SIS shares increased by about 12% during intraday trading on January 29.

SIS Q3 Result:

A day after the firm announced a spectacular 177% increase in its profit after tax (PAT) for December of the current fiscal year (Q3FY25), the price of SIS shares jumped by about 12% in intraday trading on the BSE on Wednesday, January 29. After closing at ₹307.55, the price of SIS shares began at ₹319 and surged 11.72 percent to ₹343.60. Later, it pares some gains. The stock was trading 8.60 percent higher at ₹334 at 11 AM.

On January 28, SIS, the most significant security solutions business in Australia, the number two cash logistics firm in India, and the leader in facilities management and security systems released a solid set of Q3 results.

The firm reported that their PAT for the third quarter of FY25 was ₹102.1 crore, 176.6% more than the PAT of ₹36.9 crore for the previous quarter. The profit margin increased from 1.2% YoY to 3% during the quarter.

In the same quarter last year, the company’s operating revenue increased 9.4% YoY to ₹3,362.5 crore from ₹3,073.6 crore.

EBITDA increased 3.6% year over year to ₹156.8 crore from ₹151.4 crore the previous year. However, the EBITDA margin saw a slight decline of 20 basis points, from 4.9% to 4.7%.

“In Q3FY25, SIS has recorded its most excellent quarterly sales and EBITDA. The EBITDA Margin % keeps getting better. With more DSO improvement and a notable drop in net debt/EBITDA, cash conversion is still strong, according to Rituraj Kishore Sinha, Group Managing Director, SIS.

SIS Share Price Trend:

Over the past year, there has been a lot of pressure on the small-cap stock. The stock has dropped by over 41% during the previous year as of the closing on January 28.

The stock has been declining every month since October of last year due to a widespread selloff in the market. The previous session saw SIS shares fall to ₹302.20, a 52-week low (January 28, 2025). Last January 30, they reached a 52-week high of ₹538.95.
